Leilo Fijian Medium Grind Review

Are you a fan of the well known Leilo kava seltzers? If you are and support the brand, you need to check out their new kava additions, which include their own medium grind powder that’s available!
.
We actually picked this up on Amazon prime for a reasonable price of $51.99 for a one pound bag. This yields about 30 servings of 2 TBsp per serving (typically that’s about a shell, shell and a half). Their kava is sourced from Fiji, and Fijian kavas typically lend themselves to be a bit more balanced.
.
As far as mixing, this powder was smooth both in the Aluball and strainer bag, making a nice deep brown color. Taste was akin to most other Fijian wakas, fairly neutral and a little lighter than say a Vanuatu cultivar.
.
Effects for us leaned more heavy actually, with very noticeable body relaxation that was more creeping as opposed to an in your face cultivar. Also, the sleep was AMAZING with this! Sometimes Fijian kavas can keep us up a bit and give us sleep issues, but this stuff had us sleepy when it came towards the end of the evening drinking session.
.
Pretty cool to see Leilo offering more well rounded products to the lineup, especially something traditional. When founder Sol was on the podcast (episode 43) he had alluded to some new things coming and this was a pleasure to see! Find them at https://leilo.com/products/traditional-kava-powder
