Kava Kwik Review

First up, the Magic Sleep Formula will be a favorite among all the insomniacs out there. This formula packs 500mg kava extract, 100mg L-Theanine, 500mg L-Tryptophan and 150mg of Lemon Balm for a well rounded sleep formula. We also really appreciated the fact this was sweetened with stevia and monk fruit as opposed to sucralose. Overall, effects were pleasant and we took this about an hour before bed and felt a good transition to sleep, but not overly drowsy as some sleep medications would have you feel. Charles actually slept through the night for the first time in awhile on this, and Heidi liked how it was a more gentle sleepy feeling going to bed.

The Instant Relaxation Formula is a flavored (orange) instant kava beverage, with a serving suggestion of 1-3 scoops, with each scoop containing 1.5 grams of kava (225mg kavalactones). This is a fairly substantial dose of kavalactones for one scoop, and we felt effects after 2 scoops. At 3 scoops, it was comparable to probably about 3-4 shells of a strong traditional kava for reference. The flavor was there, but not overpowering. If you are expecting something that is going to taste like a mocktail right out of the bottle, its not quite there but it’s a GREAT instant kava in our opinion with just enough of a flavor to add a little masking to the kava taste.

The single serve tubes are hard hitters, packing 2 grams of kava (350mg kavalactones) per tube. We sampled the Orange Cream, Mocha Mudslide, Berry Lemonade, Vanilla Chai, and Kava Rita flavors. The Mocha Mudslide and Vanilla Chai were the allstars.. For real, these were good on their own but you could make some amazing mocktails with these flavors. The Berry Lemonade and Orange Cream were good, but more subtle tasting. For us, we aren’t big margarita fans, so the Kava Rita was our least favorite- we think if you mixed it with some margarita mix though, it would make a solid mocktail for those of you who like margaritas!
