Kalm with Kava Borongoru Review

Kalm with Kava is probably one of the more known brands out there, and carries a vast selection of both traditional kava, instant kava, and concentrates. Today we are bringing you a review of their Boronguru traditional grind!

With a chemotype of 241356, this kava let’s you know that it’s going to lean towards the “heavy” side with its effects. We initially didn’t feel like it was that heavy and actually found it to be a good kava for afternoon drinking, but once the effects were at its peak and the slight comedown started, that’s where the heaviness really came in. Not totally knock you on the couch, but a good relaxation that always lent itself to a good sleep. This kava sort of felt like a warm blanket of mind & body effects and we found it to be fairly balanced during drinking, but did like the heavy effects that came ~1 hr after the last drink when we went off to sleep.

Their kavas are definitely more pricey than most brands out there, if you sign up for their newsletter typically they will run sales but these are definitely not budget kavas. With that though comes great quality and most kavas we have used from them have always been worth the money.
