If you are a fan of heavier kava cultivars, you may want to check this one out 👆
.
Kalm with Kava B
orogu is a common cultivar from Vanuatu that’s known for starting balanced both in the mind & body, but ending on heavy notes that suit it well for the evening. It’s not as heavy hitting as their Borongoru, but a noticeable step down that makes it better for late daytime where you don’t want to quite hit the couch yet.
.
We found to really get the most outa this grind, we had to use hot water with the Aluball or give it some extra kneading time in the strainer bag to really work the kavalactones out. The powder is a tad coarser than some, so spend the extra time working the grog on this to get the full effects.
.
We liked this for late afternoon (3-4pm) because it would turn into a nice body buzz by dinner/pre bed time and lead to a good sleep. But, during drinking it didn’t make us too couch locked and we liked the balanced effects in the first half. Ideally, that’s what we want from our evening kavas, something that social but turns heavy so lights out is a breeze 😴
.
Solid offering that could easily be a mainstay in your rotation of kava for your late afternoon enjoyment!
